Remember when I mentioned GrowingTreeToys.com blog sponsorship program? Well they sent me this cute educational “Dress Up Pirate Toy” by Manhattan Toy to review and it is so adorable!
The “Dress Up Pirate Toy” helps growing toddlers learn important skills while they play with their fun pirate friend. The soft plush doll features colorful fabric and textures, buttons, snaps, zippers, hook-and-loop closures, and a shoe tie to teach your little one the techniques of dressing.
The pirate comes complete with his trusty parrot pal sewn on his hand, a pocket sword, red hat, and blue eye-patch! He is perfect for stimulating a child’s imagination and developmental skills. The sweet pirate can also act as a sleeping mate for your child as he/she can pretend the pirate is fighting off bedtime monsters!

I wish I had the “Dress Up Pirate Toy” when my daughter was first learning to tie her shoes. She learned on a clunky pair of sneakers and it took her forever to figure out the proper method. I had a difficult time getting her to become interested in learning, partly because it was so boring! The “Dress Up Pirate Toy” makes learning more exciting and she probably would have been more attentive if I had him. I’m glad I now have the cute pirate for teaching my son!
Buy it. The Dress Up Pirate Toy can be purchased at GrowingTreeToys.com for $24.95. The toy is recommended for ages 18 months to 24 months and measures 15″ in height.

Its really nice to see a dress up doll learning toy geared for boys. I love that its generic enough for both boys and girls, as I always get overly girlied by foo foo pink things and would actually prefer a toy like this one for my daughters.
