Oh wow what can I say about this…sigh? A man from Buffalo New York was pulled over for running a stop sign and was caught with a live cat marinating in oil and herbs in the back of his car. Navarro, the 4 year old kitty about to be stewed and eaten, was rescued from 51-year-old Gary Korkuc and placed for adoption. Korkuc explained he did it because Navarro was ill-tempered. Korkuc was charged with cruelty and released, but is unable to ever adopt a pet again. Thank GOD!
Navarro was adopted by a pair of loving non-lunatics who promised not to eat him. Vicky Dankowski, the cats new owner, opened up her heart and home to the rescued main course and renamed him Oliver. Maybe she should have named him Olive Oil? Just kidding!!!
Only in New York!

A happy ending to this story,

Oh my gosh – some people!
If he couldn’t handle the cat, he could have placed him at the Humane Society.
What a story!
I’m happy it ended so well.

Clearly the man needs some psychological help and should be watched closely! They need to figure out how to screen individuals better before letting them adopt defenseless animals. If I was the neighbor, I would make sure to keep my doors locked and pets inside! Yikes!
