Green Giant’s love affair for vegetables began over 100 years ago and ever since then the company has been providing families a convenient way of getting delicious and nutritious vegetables to the dinner table. Each crop is picked at the peak of perfection and immediately frozen or canned to capture nutrients plus preserve freshness. It’s no wonder with such care going into making their products the vegetables taste incredibly good and unforgettable. Not to mention, with with more than 130 varieties to choose from, you’re sure to find a favorite!
I personally enjoy the Green Giant Boxed Vegetables the best, because they are easy to prepare, nutrients are locked in during the freezing process, and the vegetables retain their Vitamin C and A richness. PLUS, now with 29 mouthwatering varieties being endorsed by Weight Watchers, I can eat up delicious vegetables with sauces and seasonings and still stay on track with my weight management goals. Most of the selections have only a 1 or 2 PointsPlus value per serving and sport the Weight Watchers blue endorsed label on the front of the box, so they are very easy to spot and grab in the grocer’s freezer section. The Weight Watchers Endorsed Boxed Vegetables include…

Green Giant Weight Watchers endorsed Broccoli & Cheese.
MyBlogSpark, recently sent me a sample of Green Giant’s Broccoli & Cheese Sauce frozen boxed vegetables. Oh my goodness nothing tastes better to me than broccoli smothered in thick cheese sauce. YUMMY! I’ll be honest I didn’t prepare the vegetables as directed on the box, because I don’t believe in boiling or microwaving any food within plastic pouches. It was just as easy for me to open up the bag and heat the vegetables plus sauce in my Cuisinart Greenware eco-friendly nonstick saucepan. I added a touch of skim milk to help the cooking process and the Broccoli & Cheese came out wonderful! However, you do what you feel most comfortable with. It’s only my personal preference and it probably increased the calorie content a smidgen by including a touch of milk . If you cook as directed a 2/3 cup serving is approximately 60 calories and 25 calories being of fat. Not bad considering the broccoli and cheese tasted sinfully good! Definitely my favorite!

Green Giant Broccoli & Cheese

I like to get the no-sauce veggies (especially the peas or peapods) and just add some Olivio (what we use in place of butter or margarine). I also add a touch of mint to the peas.

My DH takes what amounts to a bento box to work every day for lunch. His favorite is rice with steamed broccoli with a dash of Asian sweet chili sauce and kung pao sauce mixed in. Pretty easy to prepare; healthier and much cheaper than a store bought sandwich for lunch.

Most of the time I just steam the veggies. Sometimes I add some celery seeds for extra flavor. But my daughter eats the peas frozen most of the time – loves them as a snack!
We use them as a quick, nutritious side dish at dinner, or we use them to make casseroles easier to prepare. Both are favorites of mine.
I halve Brussels Sprouts, toss with olive oil and seasoning and roast until lightly golden.
I love them just prepared as is but sometimes do a crumb/nut topping 🙂
by the directions on the box…im a starter cook so im tickled pink when something comes out of my try in the kitchen without my family flinching, cringing etc. green giant has directions even i can follow without destroying making me happy and my family relieved.
