Only 76 more days until the New Your State Fair opens its gates! I’m very excited to attend this year, because there is going to be some FANTASTIC entertainment at the Chevy Court and State Fair Grandstand!
All shows at Chevy Court are free with Fair admission and offer an array of shows that will appeal to a broad audience of Fairgoers. Two different acts will perform each day at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. so plan on spending the whole day at the fair to be able to catch both concerts. Three more of the 24 acts scheduled to perform during this year’s Chevy Court concert series were recently announced. Let me tell you…my daughter is going to FREAK out when she hears the news that THE SCRIPT is one of them and will be performing Sept. 3 at 8 p.m! The Script is an Irish rock band from Dublin that debuted back in 2009 in the United States with the release of their first album “The Script.” If you are not familiar with the name of the band you might recognize who they are when I mention their hit singles “We Cry”, “Breakeven” and “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved” which topped the charts worldwide! Check them out!
Other acts scheduled include…
The Midtown Men -performing Tuesday, Aug. 30 at 2 p.m
Charlie Wilson -performing Friday, Sept. 2 at 8 p.m.
Allstar Weekend -performing at 2 p.m. Aug. 28
Glenn Miller Orchestra -performing at 2 p.m. Aug. 29
REO Speedwagon -performing at 8 p.m. Aug. 29
Big Time Rush -performing at 8 p.m. Sept. 1.
As more shows are announced I will keep updating the list above to include all 24 concerts.
