LOVED IT! Get Now For The Holidays!
Have you ever wondered how it all gets done, how santa manages to get in and out of millions of homes all in one night? Of coarse, it’s because of the magic elite team of elves prepping the homes before the big guy in red gets there, making his job easy!
I loved this film! Disney’s Prep & Landing actually debuted on television back in December 2009, but I’ve never had the opportunity to see the film until now. The approximate 22 minute animated movie is absolutely hilarious and filled with tons of fun Christmas charm! The kiddos thought is was fantastic too and got them into the Christmas spirit.
The opening scene begins on Christmas Eve with peaceful falling snow, the famous “The Christmas Song” music playing, and a house decked out with a Christmas wreath on the door and a beautiful tree next to the fireplace. However, the song abruptly ends with sounds of a fire extinguisher hissing that puts out the flame. Next, you see two tiny elves with glowing green eyes appear hanging upside down over the once lit logs enter the home.
The two are part of Prep & Landing, an elite unit of elves getting houses around the world ready for the big guy’s arrival. There mission is to get in, get out, and never be noticed.
The movie centers upon Wayne, an elf who has tirelessly worked for 227 years, is ready to move up and leave this job behind. However, he becomes disgruntled when Santa over looks him and rewards his partner Peterson, who he had trained, the promotion to be Director of Naughty List Intelligence. Instead, Wayne is partnered with Lenny, an idealistic rookie from the Kringle Academy, and sent back to prepping the houses.
During their mission, Wayne still upset about not getting the promotion, decides to slack of and leave the rookie to “fly solo” while he handles the cookie assessment. However, things don’t go as planned and Wayne plus Lenny encounter unexpected challenges that threaten Christmas for children everywhere! Now it’s up to them to make things right and get Christmas back on track!
