SYNOPSIS
Stay in step with Angelina and Polly! Will Princess Polly be able to forgive her sister when Angelina breaks her special music box? My Thoughts
Angelina Ballerina: Superstar Sisters DVD is packed with sisterly love and promotes dance, music and performance. The cute stories also foster forgiveness, friendship, and shows how siblings can get along and work together to achieve their goals. For instance, in the episode “Angelina and the Music Box,” Polly receives a beautiful music box in the mail from her grandma. The tiny mouseling falls in love with the waltz music it plays and becomes obsessed with dancing. When Polly gets tired from all the waltzing she finally falls asleep allowing time for Angelina, A.Z. and Alice to rehearse. Angelina gets an idea to hide the music box while Polly is sleeping so the three can have more time together rehearsing without Polly wanting to interrupt them with her waltzing. However, Angelina accidentally drops the box breaking it. Feeling badly about what she did, Angelina offers to work in her father’s shop until she is able to buy a new music box for Polly. In the end, Polly realizes even though the new music box plays a different tune she can still dance her favorite waltz thanks to her sister.
Even though Angelina Ballerina episodes are geared towards little girls, I believe preschool boys will enjoy this DVD as well. My son likes dancing around to the music and finds the tales to be interesting.
