Moving into a new flat or simply refreshing the look of your old one can be very rewarding and enjoyable, and even more so if you happen to be a fan of hi-tech accessories. Whether you’re a gadget geek or you just like the luxury of a few home comforts, you’ll want to invest in the best devices available.
Home entertainment
Arguably the centrepiece of any home is the entertainment system. Today, televisions are more than just a display screen: they are an important portal to your personal and business needs. With built-in Wi-Fi and integrated web browsing software, the best TVs on the market will allow you to stay up to date with emails and social media.
New features such as high definition display and LED backlighting will deliver a sharper contrast and outstanding picture quality, while surround sound is another way to enhance the experience of watching your favourite films at home. Stay at the forefront of technology with a new 3D TV to bring the cinema experience to your living room.
Tidying the smart way
Entertainment may be one essential element for your flat, but what about keeping it clean and tidy? Thankfully, vacuum cleaner technology has also made a leap forward: today’s models are lightweight and powerful cleaning machines, not only more efficient in collecting particles of dust, but also much easier to manoeuvre into tight spaces.
If your flat is relatively compact though, and you don’t have much in the way of storage, rather than opting for a full-size hoover, it might be smarter to invest in a ‘mini’ model. These days, you can even buy cordless models with up to 20 minutes of battery life – perfect for that last-minute whizz round before guests arrive.
The personal touch
It’s also worth thinking about the little things. Electronic picture frames can be a wonderful way to keep your happiest memories alive, displaying a selection of your favourite pictures from your memory card, USB stick or flash drive. With a number of different transition styles and ambient lighting moods, these devices will slot perfectly into any room, adding a personal touch to your home. They can also be a great talking point when guests visit.
When you’re kitting out a new home, there’s no better shopping companion than an American Express Nectar Credit Card. We have an electronic picture frame and it’s great! It’s so easy to email the pictures to it and it shows up instantly!

There is a lot of information in this review. I like the idea of having great electronics for sure. I have been staying in a rental lately and it is smaller and some of the ideas are great! My son just brought me over a huge tv and I can’t believe how it does center the room!!
