Holiday Inn embarked on a huge $1 billion makeover project, in which over 3,200 hotels around the world received an updated facelift. The improvements included a new sign with redesigned logo, gorgeous bedding, decluttered lobby areas, upgrades on shower and bathroom amenities, and more! Plus, they also made sure their employees received extensive training so that every guest would be treated with top-notch customer service. The company listened to thousands of customer reviews about the hotel left on their website and proceeded to cover all areas of the relaunch to make sure guests would be comfortable during their stay at the hotel.
What would you do with $1 billion? Honestly, I cannot even imagine having that much money at my disposal! Seriously, I do not even know what a million dollars looks like– let alone $1 billion! With that kind of money I think I would forget overhauling anything and go out and purchase a large island somewhere in the tropics. You know what I mean! Far away from my mother-in-law! Oooops did I just say that? YES I DID! Don’t judge me…you never met the woman.
Anyways, I wanted to share this new video from Holiday Inn, which is funny! It is about this guy who was on his way to Mexico with his wife and decided to remain close to the airport, so he stayed at the Holiday Inn. He wrote about his experience and the company turned it into a rather humorous and at times awkward– musical review! Check it out!

That’s cool they did an upgrade, but it seems weird to me that they would have spent the money on new signs. Ha ha. Doesn’t it seem like the money would be better spent on updated hotel room features? But, maybe they wanted a new logo to be seen as a new hotel, not the same old Holiday Inn that people used to know. Regardless, a billion dollars….yeah I could do a lot with that! LOL

Hi Laura! They did upgrade some of the room features like new bedding, bathroom amenities, and other stuff. I think the new sign is a way of just amplifying the improvements. Anyhow, a billion seems like such an extravagant amount of money! I can’t even imagine! LOL! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

What would I do with 1 billion? Probably give 1/2 to charity, and use the rest to spoil myself and my family rotten! But getting back to Holiday Inn, I think the most important upgrade is the employee training. I’ve always been happy with the physical amenities, (and couldn’t care less about the sign), but always thought the staff could use some improving. This ups my opinion of them a lot!
