Starting to feel the holiday crunch? Next week marks the craziest, and I do mean CRAZIEST, shopping event of the year! BLACK FRIDAY! Okay, perhaps you just want to get passed Turkey Day and the in-laws before even thinking about the Christmas shopping season? I feel your pocket book pain, but ignoring the day could cost you some serious savings. First things first, if you are shopping for hot toys you need to know exactly what your kiddo wants before entering the promotional nightmare next Friday. Do not be swayed by hot deals on items that are not on their Santa’s wish list! This is the biggest mistake most parents make on Black Friday and it results in over holiday spending. Why? Because you are still going to want to get the hot toys your child is dreaming about and you already spent a hundred or more on Black Friday specials not even on your shopping list. Try and stay focused! Scour through the ads and only go to the stores offering the items you “NEED” for the lowest possible prices. I know it sounds like common sense, yet lots of people lose their spending composure by falling into the promotional hype and purchase stuff they or no one else wants just because it is on sale. I have fallen victim of this myself and have waited in long lines for items like phones that were $100 below the original price. The problem is no one needed a phone on my gift list …not even me! So, I already began the shopping season by blowing my budget for an electronic paperweight.
Next, you are going to want to be aware of what the hot toys are this year. Toys”R”Us is featuring 6 different Hot Toys each week until December 7th from their 2013 Hot Toys List this season. What I really like about these videos is the toys are actually being reviewed by children. No one knows toys better than kids do and the little experts can tell you exactly why the item is such a great plaything. This week the hot toys being highlighted are Mega Bloks Call of Duty Heavy Armor Outpost, Innotab 3S Exclusive Bundle, Kurlo 10s, Crayola Melt N’ Mold Factory, and Disney Infinity. Additionally, the Toys”R”Us Toy Channel lets you browse through the prior weeks to see the entire list of hot items. I highly suggest taking a few minutes to view the videos to see what you are going to want to be on the lookout for next Friday. If an Innotab 3S is on your child’s Christmas list I am giving one away for the holidays! The giveaway ends tomorrow so hurry! The Crayola Melt N’ Mold Factory is amazing! Children are able to make cool rings and different crayon shapes using the toy. Check out the video below to learn more about the hot toys.

This is great! Especially the Crayola Melt N’ Mold Factory – little artists here! I know what you mean about “an electronic paperweight” – waiting in line for bargain that you don’y need/use is no bargain! Great videos, gives me a chance to “window shop” from home, thanks!

My Christmas shopping is pretty much done thank goodness because I hate shopping in Black Friday crowds (getting too old:I guess). The Crayola Melt N’ Mold Factory does sound like fun for little ones so I might have to check that out next time I’m at Toys R Us

I’ve been doing the same thing for the past few years…buying all the “deals” and then spending even more to buy the things they actually want! I love the reviews by kids because sometimes an adult can think a toy will be a hit, but it ends up being played with once and then sits there and collects dust. The Crayola Melt ‘N Mold factory sounds like something my boys would enjoy.

I have a few things left to pick up, but I think my boys at this point aren’t into the hot toys. I have to say that the Melt and Mold Factory from Crayola looks so fun. I think I want one for myself lol

The Innotab 3S , Ugg boots and a Skateboard are some of the items on everyone’s wish list this year. I think the Innotab 3S might go fast this year. I hope I’m wrong. I don’t have everyone’s wish list yet but those are a few I know about already I can’t shop Black Friday so I’m hoping to do well on cyber Monday.
