Film Synopsis:
In Slugterra Return of the Elementals, a new member joins the Shane Gang. Junjie is a master of the mysterious slugslinging art of Slug Fu. If you have never had the opportunity to watch Slugterra it is a very unique sci-fi animated show where the characters fight against each other with high-power blasters filled with slugs. Once the live ammo (the slugs) is fired, the magical creatures turn into high powered beasts. The entire concept is very entertaining and my 6 year old son loves it. Not to mention, after watching a few episodes myself, I can tell you the Disney XD animated series is easy to get adults hooked on it too. The idea of slinging slugs, has its own comical side to it and the adventures are packed with lots of slug action to keep fans amused. The show is suitable for all ages, yet some of the slug battle scenes might be a little scary for preschoolers, so I recommend watching it first before introducing Slugterra to very young viewers. Overall, the show portrays a good message of the importance of teamwork, loyalty, and friendship.
In the movie Slugterra Return of the Elementals a new member is introduced to the Eli and Shang Gang! The movie begins with Redhook telling a story to two children about how Eli and the Shane Gang defeated The Goon and met Junjie. A master of slugslinging Slug Fu who has been trained to protect the Eastern Realms, Junjie joins Eli and the Shane Gang for the race to find the five Elemental Slugs: Earth, Air, Energy, Water, and Fire. The chase leads to monstrous transformations, surprising reveals, and more!
