MIU COLOR® Borosilicate Glass Water Bottle Review & Giveaway!

Staying hydrated this summer is an essential key to maintaining good health.  Your body depends on water to function correctly.   As the temperature increases you lose water even faster and you can easily become dehydrated.  It is important to always have fresh clean water with you during the day to avoid dehydration, keep your digestive system working properly, and even to help maintain a healthy weight.

A good way to stay hydrated is to make sure you leave the house with a bottle of water.  Purchasing plastic bottles can be expensive and adds to the environmental waste problem.  Plus, I personally don’t like drinking out of plastic no matter if the company claims it is BPA free or not.  When plastic bottles sit in the heat the water tastes like chemicals.  There are the stainless steel reusable bottles as an alternative to plastic, but they also give off an unwanted metallic taste if they sit too long.  I much rather drink out of a glass bottle, since the water tastes more crisp and clean compared to the other options.

MIU COLOR® Borosilicate Glass Water Bottles

I am always looking for convenient ways to stay hydrated throughout the day.  Thankfully, MIU COLOR® sent me two Borosilicate Glass Water Bottles from their product line for review;  MIU COLOR® 24.5oz Crystal Glass Water Bottle without Tea Infuser in Black Nylon Sleeve and a MIU COLOR® 22oz Crystal Glass Water Bottle with Tea Infuser in Black Nylon Sleeve.  Unlike other water bottles I have used in the past which were either too fragile or bulky, these bottles feel very well designed and make it easy to enjoy an ice cold or hot beverage during the busy day.

MIU COLOR® 24.5oz Crystal Glass Water Bottle without Tea Infuser in Black Nylon Sleeve

The MIU COLOR® 24.5oz Crystal Glass Water Bottle without Tea Infuser is a stylish large capacity (holds 24.5 ounces) bottle great for taking to work, the gym, school, camping,  hiking, or everywhere you go.  Constructed from hard glass, the bottle is free from PVC, BPA, and lead.  The bottle opening is large enough to be able to fit ice cubes for extra cold beverages and easy filling.  The lid has a beautiful stainless steel brushed looking finish and contains a silicone ring for an airtight fit.  I placed the bottle filled with cold water on its side and did not notice one drop of leakage, making it perfect for packing in a gym bag or safe if it happens to be on its side for a period of time.

Along with the bottle comes a nylon sleeve (available in Rose Red, Dark Blue, Black and Grey) with a zipper in the back for extra added protection and easy carrying.  The glass water bottle fits snugly in the heat resistant sleeve for being able to hold hot beverages and helps the bottle from slipping from your hands.  Also, there is a nifty carrying handle on the sleeve for easy grabbing!

Additionally, included with the purchase of the MIU COLOR® 24.5oz Crystal Glass Water Bottle is two water bottle cleaning brushes to make cleaning convenient!  It is recommended that the bottle be hand washed instead of placing in the dishwasher to avoid scratches and breakage.  The brushes are long enough to reach the bottom of the bottle for thorough cleaning and soft enough not to scratch the bottle.  If the bottle develops an odor the silicone ring located inside the stainless steel cap can be removed and soaked in vinegar for a few hours until the odor goes away.  The manufacturer says the lid is dishwasher safe, but I prefer to still wash it by hand.

MIU COLOR® 22oz Crystal Glass Water Bottle with Tea Infuser in Black Nylon Sleeve

 Hands down the MIU COLOR® 22oz Crystal Glass Water Bottle with Tea Infuser has become my all-time favorite water bottle I have ever owned!  The water bottle has all the cool features of the MIU COLOR® Crystal Glass Water Bottle above except it is slightly smaller (able to hold up to 22 ounces), a bit shorter, and a hair wider.  It also has TWO SCREW OFF stainless steel caps (top and larger bottom lid) for super easy cleaning.  However, the huge difference is this bottle actually has a removable tea filter with a handle that is fantastic for filling your favorite loose leaf tea or pieces of cut fruit.

The big craze these days is fruit-infused water!  Fruit-infused water has been noted to help speed up your metabolism, flush toxins from your body, curb your appetite, and even release fat cells!  Although, my main reason of adding fruit to my water is frankly because it tastes better and is less boring than plain water.  The MIU COLOR® 22oz Crystal Glass Water Bottle with Tea Infuser is a fun and tasty way of staying hydrated!

The bottle has a modern design and is fairly simple to fill.  The only thing I have noticed thus far is that you have to snap the tea-infuser in the correct position, so the loose leaf tea or fruit pulp don’t escape the filter.  Other than that, the bottle is absolutely perfect!  It doesn’t leak, is simple to fill, easy to clean, and makes drinking your favorite beverage fun.  I fill it up in the morning and sip on it through the day and then fill it up again in the afternoon to get at least 44 ounces out of the recommended 64 ounces of water per day.

Which bottle would you choose?

Both the MIU COLOR® Borosilicate Glass Water Bottles above are great options to help stay hydrated throughout the day.  One is slightly bigger than the other, but the smaller bottle (2.5 ounces smaller) has the very cool tea-infuser.  The bottles are made from high borosilicate glass and have a high quality stylish look plus feel to them.  The glass bottles are fantastic alternatives to plastic and metal bottles which can add unwanted chemicals or aluminum after taste to your beverage.  MIU COLOR® Borosilicate Glass Water Bottles are lead free, PVC and BPA free.  All you taste is your beverage!  PLUS, they come with a very handy nylon zip sleeve and two cleaning brushes for convenient cleaning!
