Let the decorating begin! Tis the season to deck the halls, walls, doors, and windows with whimsical and stunning Christmas decorations. Christmas is only 3 weeks away, but there is still time to bring a bit of magic to your home even if you haven’t had the time to hang a single light! The BulbHead Star Shower Window Wonderland Window Projector System easily sets up to display dazzling holiday movies in your window.
Window Wonderland sets up in seconds to bring the magic of Christmas to any shape or size window with fun, festive, and cheerful movies. Jolly gingerbread men, adorable puppies, a happy snowman, and more are projected onto the window indoors and can been seen outdoors to bring cheer to your home and neighborhood. No more freezing your jingle bells off, because the installation is done inside where it’s warm!
Setting Up the Window
Choose the window where you want to display the movies. The movies can be displayed vertically or horizontally, so even if you have a small narrow window the projector will still be able to display the movies. Next measure the height and width of the desired window and cut the Translucent Projector Screen to fit the measurements. Peel off the paper backing from one side of the included fasteners, apply each sticky one to the corner of the screen.
Before hanging the screen, make sure the window is thoroughly clean for the best hanging and viewing results. Then peel the remaining backing off the other side of the hook and loop fasteners and stick to the window.
Projector Setup
We found the trickiest part of setting up the Window Wonderland Projector was picking the correct location and distance for the projector to be placed. The kit comes with a “Distance to Window” chart to help guide your installation, but you will still need a clear path to the window with the exact distance for the best viewing results.
The projector comes with a base, yet it has the ability to be connected to a traditional tripod. A tripod will give you more of a concise install, since you won’t need a table or shelf in direct path of the window to set the projector on.
Additionally, the power adapter cord for the projector is only about three feet long. If you don’t have a nearby outlet, make sure you have an extension cord ready to go. Next just plug it in and you are on your way to display festive movies inside and outside!
Getting the Movies to Display
There are two buttons and a toggle switch on the projector. The top button is for displaying the Christmas movies and the second is for the Halloween movies. The toggle switch gives you the option of choosing how you want the movies to appear in the window. Pushing the toggle switch to the right produce images vertically and the left horizontally. Switching the toggle to the middle turns off the projector.
The Window Wonderland Projector also is equipped with an adjustable lens to help focus the movies. It slightly brings the picture in better, but your main objective is getting the proper distance of the projector from the window.
Once your ready to dazzle the neighborhood press the desired Christmas or Halloween button to display the movie you would like. The projector does not go through the movies by itself and only loops the movie you select. So, you manually must change to the next scene if you want to display each of the 12 movies available (6 Christmas and 6 Halloween).
The Results
If you set up the projector in the correct way the results are great! The movie graphics are clear and look fantastic. However, the main objective is selecting a window without that is clear from objects and you have a straight path from the projector to the window. Also, the best time of displaying the movies is when it is completely dark inside and outside!
There is an option to hook up speakers to the projector for audio. The only problem I have with this is your speaker would have to be wired from the projector to wherever you wanted the sound to be heard. So, if you want the audio to play outside you would have to run a wire from the inside to the outside and the speaker would have to be weatherproof. Basically, the audio setup in my honest opinion is impractical.

Each movie is 15 seconds long and repeats until manually changed.

Cons
The projector screen is extremely flimsy and thin. Once it is cut you can only use it in the window you measured it to. Additionally, the 4 adhesives can’t be removed from the screen without damaging it for storing. The best way to be able to keep using the screen is to save the adhesive backings and place them back on the sticky side to protect the screen for later uses.
The movies do not auto play throughout all 6. You must manually change the movies to display the different 6 options.
There is no USB or SD card option for updating the projector to display new movies to add to the library.
The audio option is impractical.
No remote control.
No timer for auto shutting off.
Not weatherproof. For indoor use only.
