The word diet can often be a terrifying word for many. No one likes going on a diet, but unfortunately, there are times when this needs to happen. There are so many different diets out there, that it’s important to find the right one for you. Depending on what you need the diet for, there are plenty of different options for you. You might prefer to use a diet that helps you lose weight quickly, or perhaps you would prefer something that is just a bit simple and looks at healthy swaps instead. Whatever your reason for wanting to lose weight, there is always a diet out there that is suited to your needs.
Slimming World
Slimming world is a great diet, for people who are interested in losing weight at a gradual pace. This is a really easy diet for people who want to take things at their own pace. Slimming world doesn’t even class itself as a diet, but rather a healthy eating group. It’s all about making healthy swaps. For example, instead of cooking with oil, you use something like frylight.
The way that their diet works is that you’re allowed up to 15 syns a day. Syns is how they rank food. Some food is free, such as ham, certain fruits etc… whilst others might be one syn (or even 20!). Slimming world only really works if you are happy to plan and keep a note of all the food that you are eating. However, it does mean that you can now enjoy that glass of wine and not feel too guilty about it on the weekend.
Keto Diet
This diet is a little bit harder than Slimming World as you have to be a lot more careful about what you eat (and make sure you have a note of what you can’t). The keto diet means that your body burns fat instead of glucose, as you are no longer having carbs. Doing this means that your body goes into a ketosis state, which is when your liver effectively breaks down fats into ketones to be used as energy.
Some people might find it hard to stick to this diet, but luckily people can use a keto supplement to help them stick to it. This supplement supports people who are on the ketogenic diet while allow them greater freedom with their diet. Using this supplement means that people can enjoy some carbohydrates at dinnertime if they so wish.
Cambridge Diet
Well first things first, the Cambridge diet is now known as the 1:1 diet. This is a meal replacement diet that can help you to lose weight. A lot of people say that this a good diet is you want to lose weight quickly (perhaps you’re going on holiday soon). This diet differs to the other two as instead of just limiting yourself to certain food, you are actually swapping out normal meals for shakes, soups, porridges and snack bars. These rules are a lot stricter than the other diets, but if you can stick to these rules, you’ll easily loss a stone a month.
If you are planning on losing weight, then the best thing to do first would be to contact your gp to find the right diet for you. They will then discuss any potential concerns or side effects that some diets might have, so it’s very important that you do go and talk to a gp.

I’ve heard of the Keto diet but not the other two. I was thinking about trying the Keto diet and still might, I have to read more on it first.

Slimming World sounds good as it is at a pace but of course most people want quick results. The Keto diet seems really popular right now I keep thinking I might try it but have yet to do it. The CAMBRIDGE DIET not sure I want to skip my food and replace it I like my food.
