Looking for some fun stuff to do with your friends this weekend? We’ve got you covered!
“May you live in interesting times.” It sounds like a blessing but is often attributed to being an ancient Chinese curse. We are living in interesting times, indeed.
Public events are being canceled all over the world. Anywhere people gather is being shut down. Work and school are being put on hold until further notice.
A lot of us are finding ourselves with a lot of free time on our hands. Which could actually be a blessing.
Let’s find out some fun stuff to do to fill your unexpected free time, shall we?
#1 Have A Spa Day
Nothing nourishes your body and your spirit like some self-love. This is an excellent time to nourish our bodies, to help us look and feel our best.
We should all be making every effort to stay as healthy as possible right now. Why not take that to its ultimate conclusion?
You can start off with some cleansing and detoxification. Then move on to doing your hair and nails. All while enjoying some yummy, healthy snacks.
You’ll feel like a million bucks when it’s all said and done. And look like you’re worth twice that.
#2 Have A Pinterest Party
Most of us have Pinterest boards overflowing to bursting with craft ideas, research projects, recipes, and other sundry interests to get into. One craft board could have 1,000 pins, so it’s not uncommon to get overwhelmed fast.
If you’re looking for a fun thing to do this weekend, why not take this opportunity to catch up with your Pinterest a bit. Host a Pinterest party! Even if it’s just by yourself.
Pinterest is much more fun and exciting when you make an event out of it. You can run around, picking up the supplies you’ll need and maybe some tasty treats for while you’re working.
What’s best about Pinterest parties is you’ll have something to show for it when it’s all said and done. You get to work through your to-do list and have some cool arts and crafts when it’s over!
#3 Cook and Bake
Speaking of rewarding results, cooking and baking is always a fun, interesting, and delicious way to spend your time. Like we mentioned, you’ve probably got a library’s worth of recipes you’ve been meaning to try on Pinterest or some other cooking site.
Making food at home is endlessly rewarding for so many reasons. First and foremost, you get to make things exactly how you like them. You can flavor and season everything just the way you like them.
Making tasty treats at home often costs just a fragment of what such a thing would cost in a restaurant. There’s usually more of it, as well, so you’ll be able to share.
With many restaurants closing, or closing early, this is an excellent time to learn to prepare some of your favorite dishes at home. Then you can share with your loved ones, also, and make the most of these interesting times we’re living in.
Here are some more ideas, if you’re looking for fun things to do this weekend once life returns to normal.
