Repetition is Key
As an athlete, you should focus on the movements that make up the sport or event you do. If you’re a baseball player and you’re primarily based in the infield, for instance, you should practice the footwork that goes along with fielding ground balls. You should practice these movements again and again until you can do them without even thinking about them.
The same is true for any sporting event in which you take part. Practicing as much as possible is what will get you ready for game time.

No matter what sport you play or the athletic activity you engage in, you need to stay flexible. You can get stronger through weight training and similar practices, but you must also remain pliable to be limber. This way, you’re not as likely to tear a muscle or have something similar happen when you put stress on your body.
That’s why you should practice yoga. Some basic stretching exercises you can do every day should help you, regardless of the details of your particular athletic niche.
