I just love the Build-A-Bear Workshop Huggable Heroes Program. The program, each year for the past seven years, recognizes young leaders ( ages 8-18) who have made positive contributions in their community or around the world. This year, ten Huggable Heroes from the United States and Canada will be selected and honored for their good actions. Each of the Huggable Heroes will receive a prize of $10,000 ($7,500 in the form of an educational scholarship and $2,500 from the Build-A Bear Workshop Foundation to be donated to the 501(c)(3) charity of the winner’s choice)! How cool is that? Additionally, they will receive a two-day, one-night trip to St. Louis, ( “home of Build-A-Bear Workshop World Bearquarters“) where the Huggable Heroes will be honored for their good deeds, meet the other honorees and participate in a photo shoot for the 2011 Huggable Heroes calendar.
Do you know a young leader who should be considered and recognized for their positive impacts? Here is more information about the program and how to nominate the little hero.
