A couple of weeks ago I shared my Kohl’s with the intent I was going to only spend $100, but there were too many awesome deals to resist! Temptation got the better of me and I blew my plan by $73.24. However, I am proud to say I ended up saving a whopping $373.28 off the total amount purchased by shopping the bargains and combining the special discounts and coupons Kohl’s offered. My motto to “never pay retail” really flourished in this shopping trip! The amount I saved was astonishing and even though I went over my budget I walked out the front doors feeling fantastic about the back-to-school purchases made at Kohl’s!
Hot Finds For the Whole Family!
Immediately walking into the large department store you notice the 80% off racks! My teen daughter had a blast searching through all the clearance clothes, yet was unsuccessful in finding anything she wanted there so she took advantage of the other sales located within Kohl’s junior Department.
Angels skinny fit jeans were on sale for only $24.99! Other hot finds included t-shirts for just $5.99, Candies backpacks and shirts, SO comfortable sweaters, camis, and more! Even the jewelry was on sale!
She picked up a SO sweater, a pretty mint green Candies shirts, a black Princess Vera Wang shirt, Tek Gear shorts, a white cami, SO t-shirt, and an adorable owl necklace to start her back-to-school wardrobe.
For my son’s back-to-school essentials I hit the bargain jackpot! I found a pair of Levi’s 514 Jeans originally priced at $40 marked down 70% to $12 on the clearance rack along with several Jumping Beans t-shirts priced slashed by 80%!
Additionally, all the other Jumping Beans separates not on the clearance racks were on sale for half off! Graphic tees priced at only $5.99, character backpacks marked down by 50%, and discounted shoes were just a few of the other terrific sales happening at Kohl’s that week.
I couldn’t resist buying this Despicable Me 2 minion t-shirt and the other items pictured below for him.
My husband found a bunch of Brazilian Trunks regularly priced at $24 marked down to $2.40 he just had to have! Sigh….don’t ask! LOL!
I purchased these extremely cute Mudd shorts and SO t-shirt for myself which were both on sale too!
As you can see there is something for the whole family at Kohl’s! What I love is the store lets you dress nicely in your favorite brands without costing you a mint!
Kohl’s Cares Toy
Each time we shop at Kohl’s I allow my 5 year old son to select Kohl’s Cares Toy from the shelf if he behaved while we were shopping. In my opinion, good behavior does deserve an award; especially after two hours of shopping! Not to mention, 100% of the modest purchase of $5 goes towards helping kids’ health and education initiatives nationwide. The store has raised more than $208 million for the cause since 2000! It is a way for our family to give back a bit (while rewarding my son) and saying thank you to Kohl’s for all the great sales!
