Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh REVIEW
The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh is a 1977 animated heartwarming classic based upon the Winnie-the-Pooh books by A. A. Milne. Digitally restored and remastered in spectacular high definition, the film contains all the whimsy like you remembered the original story to have, except it is now in crisp stunning detail and presented with crystal clear sound. From “Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree”, “Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day,” “Winnie the Pooh and Tigger too”, to “Winnie the Pooh and the Day for Eeyore,” the four storybook classics are preserved in this awesome Blu-ray Combo Pack and displayed in pristine visual magic for all ages to enjoy. It will put a smile on even the grumpiest donkey’s face and delight Pooh fanatics with memories of how it all began.
Every Pooh fan has their favorite moment from the classic tale. Mine is when Pooh has lunch at Rabbit’s house in the featurette “Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree.” After eating the last smidgen of Rabbit’s honey, Pooh attempts to leave through the front door, but becomes lodged within the hole from his oversized tummy. Rabbit tries to make the best of the situation and uses various methods to disguise Pooh’s large bottom, such as placing a frame around it, drawing a moose, and using it as a shelf. The unfortunate predicament is rather amusing and humorous; bringing about plenty of delightful giggles.
Though the stories of The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh have been untouched, the Blu-ray Combo Pack release has been sweetened with some very cool bonus features such as the new Disney Intermission. Need some more delicious popcorn? No worries, hit pause and viewers will still be entertained while your popping more with fun activities like counting carrots, finding the differences within the pictures, or trying to find Piglet under the leaves.
Additionally, the movie comes with a code to stream the film on Vudu or Amazon Instant Video, which is great for on the go. The packaging also contains a free paper kite that will thrill the kiddos as well.
I give the new release a 5 star rating, due to its vibrant transfer, extras, and original uncut storyline. Why mess with perfection right? If you are a Pooh fan this is a must upgrade. I recommend getting a copy before Disney places it back in the vault and it becomes hard to find!
