There are still four months before the summer officially starts. For a lot of people, summer is a pleasant change in the weather. However, there are people who dread summer, especially in the city, because a hot temperature can render someone unproductive. As the body adapts to the heat, it cools itself down by sweating.
Sweating might not be pleasant for a lot of people, but its occurrence all over the body cannot be stopped. It is the human body’s way to cool down and can run on into overdrive during an intense workout or a hot summer day. If there is a sweat dreaded by a lot of women, that would be boob sweat. This experience could be irritating and embarrassing. When sweat accumulates in the chest area, it can cause sweat rash and a painful burning sensation in the skin.
Boob sweat appears because sweat’s inability to evaporate due to blockage of skin. Because of this, it increases moisture, as well as irritation, unpleasant smell in rare cases, and overall a bad experience. Fortunately, boob sweat can be prevented by using products or by DIY methods.
1. Wear a properly fitting bra
When wearing a bra with the right fitting, it reduces a chance of boob sweat by preventing skin to skin contact. The right bra should be comfortable and not tight. It should also support the breast; lifting it from the chest and prevents it from rubbing against each other. Tight bras will cause chafing while a loose one will not be able to give the proper support. It is also important that the material of the bra is made of breathable materials to help sweat evaporate.
2. Wear more comfortable clothing
Wearing more comfortable clothing is one of the best alternatives without applying anything. However, it might be a problem for people who have limited wardrobes. Looser clothing supports the evaporation of the sweat because of more access to air. Tight clothing usually prevents evaporation of the sweat by trapping heat and moisture.
3. Use Moroccan Argan Oil
Moroccan Argan oil is made out of kernels of the argan tree which is available only from Morocco. This oil is usually a dop on bread in breakfast or drizzle in pasta. However, it is also known as an effective product to treat skin infections which are caused by bacteria. This makes Argan oil a good remedy for both the irritation and the sweating. It has a good reputation for its users and is a good natural product.
4. Use an Antiperspirant
Antiperspirants are designed to prevent sweat, so it can also be used to stop boob sweat. A lot of people reports that applying small amounts of antiperspirant is effective in preventing boob sweat from forming. However, dermatologists suggest using cream to prevent leaving white marks in the cleavage. It is also advised to read more about the antiperspirant in case there are tendencies of rashes and other side effects when applied other than underarm.
5. Apply dusting powder or alternatives
Cornstarch is a good way to prevent sweat from appearing. The logic behind this is because cornstarch particles are so fine and very absorbent. It absorbs the sweat perfectly and prevents moisture from forming under the breast area. Use the non-abrasive one in order to prevent irritation.
If base cornstarch is not appealing to the user, the use of dusting powder is recommended. It is a more “luxurious” version of cornstarch and is added with cacao butter to moisturize the skin. Dusting powders can also contain Kaolin, which is a natural clay that absorbs excess moisture ensuring boob sweat-free experience.
6. Panty Liners
When push comes to shove and no other methods work after days of trying, a more ingenious remedy is needed. For those who don’t want to apply anything on their skin or want a solution that is disposable afterward, sticking a panty liner in each cup of the bra is the option. Panty liners are good in absorbing moisture and can even soak up the sweat that accumulates in the bottom of the bra. In addition, panty liners completely prevent sweat stains that can appear when sweating is intense. If using panty liners in your bra is not your thing, there are other options such as sweat pads which uses the same concept but with different materials.

I use cornstartch, especially in the summer, as we don’t use air conditioning. It works good, and is inexpensive!

As a Southern girl where it is swampy humid the biggest part of the year I love these ideas.. especially the Moroccan Argan Oil tip. Panty liners in your bra would work but that might not be the best option. My luck I would forget and bam.. there they are lol. Great article!

I usually put powder under the boobs, but I know several people who use antiperspirant. They say it works.
